Bambu Lab TPU 90A - Flexible, Tough and Wear-Resistant
Shore 90A flexibility with real structural integrity - built for shoe soles, RC tyres, gaskets and functional flexible parts.
Bambu TPU 90A is the harder of Bambu Lab’s two soft filaments. Where TPU 85A is built purely for squish, 90A keeps a usable amount of stiffness while still bending, stretching and bouncing back, which makes it far easier to print and far more useful for load-bearing flexible components. It offers excellent wear resistance and holds its performance after repeated bending, so parts last through real use rather than a handful of cycles.
Why pick TPU 90A
- Shore 90A hardness - flexible and shock absorbing, but structurally sound enough for functional parts
- Exceptional wear resistance - survives repeated flexing, rubbing and impact
- Ideal for shoe soles, RC tyres, tool handles, gaskets, seals, straps, protective padding and vibration damping
- Prints with all Bambu PLA and PETG series for soft-and-rigid multi-material parts on the H2D / H2C
- Works with a wider range of printers than 85A - H2S, H2D / H2C (right filament inlet), X series, P series and A series
- 1.75 mm ± 0.05 mm on a 1 KG high-temperature reusable RFID spool
Printing it well
Run the nozzle at 200-250°C (225°C is the reference setting) with the bed at 30-35°C on a Smooth PEI or Textured PEI plate - no glue needed. Use a 0.4, 0.6 or 0.8 mm nozzle; the 0.2 mm and High Flow nozzles are not supported. Keep Bambu’s preset speeds and turn Flow Dynamics Calibration off, as the profile is already tuned. TPU is highly hygroscopic, so dry it before use (70°C for 8 hours) and store it sealed with desiccant.
AMS compatibility
Compatible with AMS HT. It is not compatible with AMS, AMS lite or AMS 2 Pro - on those machines feed it from the external spool holder. On X and P series printers, do not press Unload when changing filament: heat the nozzle to 250°C and pull the filament out manually to avoid residue sticking in the extruder.
